Flaring from a stable base of smaller crystals are dramatic tabular, glassy and translucent-transparent albite crystals, to 2.5 cm in length. They are stunning in symmetry - arranged in parallel growth which reinforces a sense of sharp terminations. The back side of the crystals has a light dusting of silvery chlorite which is absent from the front display face. The luster and "sparkliness" are outstanding and unusual. The piece is a floater, complete all around. This would be a phenomenal albite from anywhere, but in this gem quality is exceedingly rare; and dramatic when combined with geometry as arranged here. One of our favorites in the lot. They do NOT look like feldspar, but more like some freaky-lustrous gem crystals or brilliant topaz.
