Lustrous and translucent, light apple-green fingers of prehnite, to 4.5 cm in length, smother a matrix plate here. The piece is dramatic and 3-dimensional. It features a particularly robust crystal in the middle, about 3.5 cm across and about 1.6 cm thick, that stands out in isolation for size and thickness. On the bottom of the specimen you can see clear evidence of how these formed over the now-hollow casts that were once anhydrite. The color here is good, though a small amount of thin matrix adheres in some places. Great sculptural form as well as super luster make this cabinet piece an important example, and it is complete all around
