A sparkling druse of ivory aragonite is host to three large, gemmy, bright lemon-yellow sulfur crystals to 2.4 cm across. The sulfur crystals are unusually lustrous and translucent with all having well-developed orthorhombic crystal forms. Several small sulfur crystals are noted at the base of the others and there is contacting to a partial crystal on the left side of the piece. All three of the main are in top condition with the main crystal having a trivial nick on the back side at the top. A very lovely and balanced miniature with startling color contrast and good three-dimensionality! Old classic!
