This old-time Oklahoma calcite shows two generations of growth - first a sharp euhedral crystal, then a thick layer of calcite microcrystals that covered the original growth. You can still see the structure of the faces, and the tip of the original crystal sticks out of the top. Ex. George Feist collection.
