An uncommonly fine and sculptural gold thumbnail from the famous Grass Valley area of California's Mother Lode. This aesthetic specimen consists of three, sharp, flattened, octahedral gold crystals beautifully perched atop a slightly folded gold leaf. This excellent piece has a bright, rich yellow-gold patina that the photo could not capture.
