Classic, deep purple Vesuvianite from the world-famous Jeffrey Mine. The crystal is gemmy, and there are hints of yellow and green running throughout the crystal. It is well-terminated, and the luster on the faces as well as the termination is excellent. This a fine, single example of the Jeffrey Mine Vesuvianites. For this color, which is more rare than the green, it is also a huge crystal in terms of thickness.
