Superbly emplaced on a bit of feldspar, are two "rabbit ear" crystals of aquamarine, to 3.1 cm in length. The aquas are glassy, with the top portion of both crystals being gemmy. The lower portions of the crystals exhibit a deep blue color with the terminations emitting a light sky blue color as it grades from bottom to top. While common in principle, Erongo aquamarines in this size range generally lack the elegance and presentation that this piece presents, and it has a certain balance that just makes it more special to my eye, than most. From older finds of 2005-2010. Ex. Private collection acquired in Europe
