Aesthetically emplaced on a matrix of massive galena and rhodonite, are several lustrous and translucent, cherry red crystals of rhodonite, to 2.9 cm in length. The largest crystal appears to be twinned! The cluster atop is very dramatic, sharp, and even a bit translucent and gemmy. This is a major, dramatic and beautiful rhodonite specimen from the deposit that has been famous historically for the species. It is very three-dimensional and impactful in person, large and dramatic - though hard to convey in photos. MUCH better in person!
