A sprinkling of gemmy, wine-red spessartine garnets, to 1 cm (though most are smaller), on a snow-white, euhedral crystal of albite with gleaming faces. The isolation of the garnets, as well as the sharp faces of the albite crystal (rather than a clunky chunk) are what make this specimen attractive.
