Aesthetically perched on, and surrounded by, acicular scolecite crystals, is a cream colored, doubly terminated, translucent, satin lustered, powellite crystal that measures a whopping 3 cm on edge or just over 4 cm across the long way. The scolecite crystals get up to 6 cm in length and are colorless and lustrous. The few unterminated scolecite crystals do not affect the overall quality of the specimen. It is amazing to see such a perch for the powellite, and it really enhances the overall aesthetics of the powellite crystal to be in such a "nest"
