Covering matrix which is an earlier generation of calcite, several "calcite roses" or rosettes stand up 3-dimensionally and contrast. They are extremely lustrous and translucent; and of a rich ivory color. The largest of these clusters measures 5.0 cm across. Nearly pristine. Very classic, large example of this habit.
