An excellent, radiating cluster of gemmy and lustrous, purple Creedite crystals to a whopping 2.4 cm in length on a Creedite matrix from the 1980 find at this remote location in Kazakhstan. Most of the sharply formed crystals in this cluster are between 1 and 1.5 cm in length and all of them exhibit a vitreous luster and a wonderful medium lavender to purple color. Creedite is a rare hydrated calcium-aluminum sulfate with fluorine. The purple crystals from here are classic and rare, having been found long ago, and are MUCH more rare than those from Mexico. This cabinet piece has a glassy brightness to it and is superb as a display specimen, dramatic and three-dimensional. It is one of the best we have seen for sale from the locality in many many years. The crystals are in absolutely excellent condition with contacting only on the base and the bottom rear of the piece where it was removed from the pocket. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
