A MASSIVE, incredibly rich specimen of fine orpiment crystals from the famous finds in Nevada about 6 or 7 years ago, which set a new standard for quality. This is one of the largest specimens I have ever seen of this material. The crystals are piled up INCHES thick! They are translucent, a butterscotch color, with wonderful luster. As with almost all of these, there are some little light-colored bruises here and there (this mineral is very soft) - but actually very few on this specimen compared to most, which is remarkable considering the size of the specimen.
