From out of the collection of Ed David - a huge plate of spectacular calcite crystals that have been richly included by red hematite - not coated, so that they retain their shiny luster, but have this rich red color to them! The crystal forms are various distortions of the rhombohedron. The matrix has a layer of sparkly calcite microcrystals, also richly included with hematite.
