Choice, single crystal of lustrous Galena from the famous Viburnum Trend in Missouri. It is probably from the 1980s or early 1990s. The large crystal is sharp, has very good luster, and the corners are just slightly modified by the octahedron. It sits up nicely on a small amount of matrix, giving it a rather imposing look of dominance, which in reality it has. One of the back corners is contacted, but that actually adds interest and a natural feel to the piece. The quality and aesthetics of this classic miniature are excellent - about as good of a miniature, for overall display in a collection of miniatures, as you could wish for.
