Calcite
The Meikle Mine is best known for its Barytes, of course, but it also turns out these beautiful calcites from time to time. The main crystal, over 5 cm, shows light golden color, good luster, and beautiful striations on its faces. It sits on a bed of smaller calcite crystals, opposite a 4-cm cluster of crystals that balance the one large crystal. 9 x 8.6 x 5.1 cm
