There was fierce bidding for the last large El Desierto sulfur specimen we put at auction a couple of months ago. It is wonderful that we are not dependent on old Italian specimens anymore to be able to put a big sulfur in our collections! This big plate shows the usual very gemmy, very bright crystals from this new mining, with the added attraction that some of the crystal clusters have grown taller than others, creating a more 3-dimensional surface than the usual, more flattened surface. 12.5 x 11.8 x 8.3 cm
