A miniature, this leaps out at the eye. This is one of the brightest golds I have ever seen, and is just hard to get the camera to focus on. It is much more sharp in person than it appears, thought the photos do convey the bright color and high luster very truly. The piece has a rich pure gold color to it, with a slight patina of reddish oxide coating in some small places that proves the piece actually has not even been fully cleaned "to the max" possible. It is elegant, like a standing tree, very 3-dimensional, and complete all around. 41 grams (1.31 troy ounces). The previous owner purchased the specimen at Tucson in 1998, and was given this location, which I am unfamiliar with. It looks a lot like Mockingbird Mine material from this same region. The piece is 360 degrees, complete all around.
