The SHOCKING PINK Cobaltoan Dolomites that came out of Katanga 30 years ago (mid 1980s) were a gigantic hit among collectors, and justifiably so: there are not many minerals with color quite as rich as this. Here, the underlying Calcite is almost completely coated with well-developed, deep raspberry-pink Dolomite crystals! The luster is very good, and the Cobaltoan Dolomites reach up to 1.5 cm in size. The aesthetics, and quality, of these Cobaltoan Dolomites are quite good.
