A very unusual and uncommon intergrown calcite formation from the mines at Guanajuato, Mexico. The very glassy, colorless crystals are nearly transparent and are very blocky, tabular, have pseudo-hexagonal shape and have strange raised edges all around their perimeters. The large crystal is 4.3 cm.
