The orpiments discovered in Nevada four or five years back were instantly recognized to be the best in the US and runners for worldwide prominence for the species as well, but few are available now for purchase. This one is anchored in back by a wonderful 2-cm crystal, with over a dozen equally lustrous and sharp crystals in the foreground. The color is high and the natural wet-looking luster is TOPS, almost metallic! This specimen has very little of the usual bruising you see on these and any damage is trivial and peripheral only. This is a piece of superior quality, seldom available today. 5 x 4.5 x 4 cm
