A great combination specimen from the Blackbird mine presenting isolated crystals and clusters of blocky, lustrous, apple green ludlamite to 7mm that exhibit a variety of forms. The sparkling and contrasting tan to pale brown backdrop for the ludlamite consists of drusy siderite and quartz. A largely complete indigo blue vivianite crystal is positioned horizontally across the bottom front of the piece and is nicely terminated on one end. An article on this locality was published in the Mineralogical Record in 2010. Ex. Wallace W. Gates collection with label. Probably 1960s vintage.
