Peruvian orpiments have been overshadowed by the Nevada ones that came out a few years ago, but they are still highly desirable specimens, especially when they are this good! These are very lustrous, very large (long, that is, to 3.5 cm), wonderfully-terminated crystals with fine orange color. The orpiment crystals are on a bed of milky quartz crystals. There are little bruises here and there, but this is true of just about ALL Peruvian orpiments, and the main display area of this specimen is in relatively excellent condition. Peruvian orpiments can be really clunky, but the fine form and isolation of these crystals make this one really choice! 9.7 x 6.0 x 4.8cm
