When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This specimen consists of a sharp, lustrous, gemmy, light blue color prismatic crystal with a strange growth line running across the basal pinacoid. It almost appears to be a twin line, but it clearly is not. The piece can be displayed from several angles to boot. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
