Gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green dioptase crystals richly cover the quartz matrix on this specimen from the Type Locality - Altyn-Tyube in Kazakhstan. The dioptase crystals reach 1.5 cm on this piece. The color and quality of these dioptase crystals is better than average for this locale. All of the crystals are pristine on this sculptural piece. This is a very highly representative example of the species and famous locale.
