This was once a normal, euhedral, very large crystal of gem topaz until corrosive solutions in the pocket began to flow through it, etching and carving it into this bizarre and interesting form. It is now covered with jagged, lustrous faces; you can see some little translucent yellow muscovites as well, some of them atop little termination subcrystals that grew out of the etched surface. Very gemmy through the interior; a big crystal, weighing 250 grams.
