This superb thumbnail is from the premier US locality for ludlamite, the Blackbird Mine of Idaho. The matrix specimen is a mounded cluster of intergrown, gemmy, olive-green crystals to 6 mm across. They have superb euhedral form, are translucent and sharp. Ex. Dick Jones Collection.
