A striking, large cabinet plate from Colorado of clusters of lustrous, bladed, black goethite. The top of the piece is richly covered with rare so-called onegite crystals - which was an early name for hair-like inclusions of goethite in amethyst. Many of the glassy amethyst crystals are doubly terminated and many are so richly included with goethite needles that they look like smoky quartz crystals. Essentially pristine, this rare, large combination piece is from the Dreamtime Claim. Ex. Adam Sotomayor, who collected it.
