This is a fine leifite miniature with well-balanced aesthetics. This "contrasty" piece has white natrolite that sets off black, prismatic aegirine crystals with a splash of pink serandite, culminating in a 2cm, radial cluster of off-white, silky lustered leifite at the very top! Leifite is a sodium beryllium aluminum silicate and was not common at Mont Saint-Hilaire; however, when leifite-bearing cavities were encountered, it was usually abundant in those cavities. A beautiful display piece! Ex Gilles Haineault, from the 1990s finds.
