Shattuckite is a RARE copper silicate. This is a beautiful two-toned blue specimen of CUTTER-GRADE, very dense shattuckite from the Type Locality - the Shattuck Mine at Bisbee, Arizona. Portions of both sides are micro-crystalline. Excellent, OLD-TIME material from the Charles Hansen Collection. According to his label, the specimen was collected in 1935. The mine closed in 1947. 169 grams or 5.9 ounces.
