A fine, large, blocky aegirine crystal with splendent, black crystal faces from recent finds at Mt. Malosa, Malawi. The primary termination is very interestingly etched and the other termination is partially etched and partially contacted, so this is a doubly terminated, near floater crystal. The terminations show a slight green coloration, and thus they are more than just etched aegirine: instead, those complex growths are alterations to arfvedsonite and the crystal is caught in the process of changing to a pseudomorph.
