While aquamarine from the Erongo deposits are common and have been coming out since the late 1990s in quantity, this is something special and unusual of a rather different style of matrix. The aquamarine is unusually strongly colored an intense pastel blue and is perched on unusually snowy-white matrix without a hint of the usual staining we see from here. Also, the matrix looks "soft" for lack of a better word, so you have this beautiful blue, sparkling aquamarine group nestled in what looks like a soft white blanket. I have seen hundreds (!!) of pockets from this region since the 1990s and this one, this style, impacts me visually in a way that most do not. It is unique. It is gorgeous in a way that is different from most others. The large crystal is 4.3 cm tall. The specimen is complete, and intact and undamaged, all around 360 degrees.
