This is a fine cabinet-sized specimen of Jeffrey Mine vesuvianite. This is an 11.5-cm wedge of green vesuvianite matrix completely covered with manganoan vesuvianite crystals with the coveted vivid purple color. One end also has complimentary green vesuvianite crystals. They are gemmy little crystals, sparkly and lustrous, that are piled up in ridges and cluster.
