A superb, large cluster of deepest, royal blue Cavansite with an almost iridescent luster is perched on an ideal amount of Stilbite matrix. The color of this Cavansite is as deeply saturated as they come and at 3.7 cm across it is very large for the species - so you may think cavansite itself is common and that you've seen the color before but I assure you this is richer, deeper, thicker, than 99 percent of what is out there. A myriad of Cavansite crystals in sheaves of shimmering crystals comprise this large radial aggregate and then as a bonus it is eloquently perched on a small piece of contrasting white matrix covered in small, 3 to 7 mm, bladed, white Stilbite crystals. Except for a minor bruise on the right side and in the back, the Cavansite cluster is in perfect condition and otherwise complete all around. It displays dramatically vertically or horizontally (sits flat in that angle); and it glows and shimmers like no other mineral from across the room in a case. This is NOT just another cavansite miniature and is extremely impressive even to those of us jaded by seeing hundreds since the late 1990s.
