An elegant specimen with DEEP blue aquamarine perched on a nub of feldspar, and accented by schorl. This particular style is one of my favorites, and this would be from a pocket found in 2010 which had the wonderful contrast of black schorl to the bluest aquamarine this region yet produced. Fine miniatures from the find were few, and in any case are no longer on the market. The piece is complete all around. Joe Budd photos.
