China has been one of the most productive countries for new material over the last 10 years. The quantity and quality of the finds in China have been remarkable. The finest contemporary green Pyromorphites on the market right now are those from the Daoping mine in China. I was told that the section of the mine that produced these pieces is now closed and will never again produce these superb Pyromorphites. This specimen is a beautiful thumbnail consisting of a sharp, lustrous, attractive rich green color, hoppered crystal. The color truly reminds me of old classic Euorpean Pyro's like Les Farges. A superb thumbnail of this material, and definitely one of the larger crystals I've seen from Daoping.
