An OUTSTANDING, OLD-TIME Italian combination piece from a famous locality, Val D'ala. This beautiful, undamaged piece is covered with gemmy, green diopside crystals to 1.3 cm, lustrous and gemmy, orange grossular garnets to 2 mm and accordian-like books of green clinochlore. This well-documented piece comes with 5 old labels, the oldest dating to 1850! Ex Richard Hauck Collection. This is the best documented Hauck piece, to date, that we have offered at auction. 7.4 x 4.4 x 4.1 cm
