This is a superb miniature of Russian aquamarine, quite distinct from aquas from other locations. Complete all around. Like many of the older European and Russian specimens in the collection, this came to Pala in large collection purchases and sales in the 1980s when Dave Wilber, Peter Bancroft, and Ed Swoboda worked with the company. Specimens of beryl were often liberated from their inventory and placed into the special display/educational case of beryls at the company store, starting by the early 1980s. This has the old linoleum label from those days.
