Perched exquisitely on a cluster of bladed Calcite crystals is this pair of aesthetic, pink Fluorite crystals from the famous Huanggang Mines of China. These gorgeous, gem, rose-pink crystals are isolated from each other by the off-white platy Calcite and both are textbook octahedra with one measuring 2.7 x 2.0 cm and the other 2.0 x 1.6 cm. Both crystals are transparent, well-formed and razor sharp, exhibiting good luster that has a satiny appearance. This is just a perfectly balanced and composed combination specimen that is one of the better miniatures recovered from a single large pocket August 26-28, 2019. The Calcite fluoresces an orange-pink and the Fluorite a light purple. No contacting or damage on this great miniature and it looks fabulous in 360 degrees of rotation! Although a large quantity of specimens came out, there are few miniatures with the eye appeal, balance, and quality of this example.
