Outstanding, layer-like cluster of Brochantite needles, on matrix, from Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The deep, forest-green color, and superb luster, of these thousands of 1.3 cm crystals makes the Brochantite dazzling as you move it around in the light. Early on, there was significant discussion on whether this was an equally great Malachite, but the experts settled on Brochantite (see notes from Kay written to unknown sources, and her own finalized typed label). It is among the best I have seen from this area. #4515 in Kay's collection.
