A BEAUTIFUL, CLASSIC and OLD-TIME combination specimen from the famous Little Three Mine of San Diego County of a 1.0 cm gemmy and lustrous, orange spessartine garnet aesthetically attached to the side of a lustrous, jet-black schorl crystal with an etched termination. The schorl is exquisitely wrapped in contrasting, floral-like, bladed cleavelandite. This complete all-around beauty dates to the 1960s and is from the Norm Dawson Collection, owner and operator of the White Queen Mine from 1948-1992.
