This specimen started life as a cluster of twinned, floater, grayish-white, doubly terminated, orthoclase feldspar crystals. At some point it was pseudomorphed to topaz. Yes Topaz! I am sure these old classics had to be analyzed at a lab to come up with topaz as the pseudomorphing mineral species, bt so they have proven to be. This combination has to be very rare in nature! 3.4 x 3.1 x 2.0 cm
