Bright, canary-yellow crusts of the hydrated calcium uranyl vanadate tyuyamunite richly cover all four sides of the blocky limestone matrix on this fine specimen from the Ambrosia Lake area, Grants District, New Mexico. A sparkly overgrowth of secondary calcite microcrystals covers some of the specimen. Older material from the Mullane Collection.
