A large Pyromorphite plate mostly covered by 2 to 5mm vibrant, green-yellow, hexagonal crystals from the Daoping Mine in China. Lively green crystals of Pyromorphite blanket most of the front and periphery of this great cabinet specimen. One of the reasons for the accentuated radiance, other than the vivid color of the Pyromorphite crystals themselves, is the fact that most of them are situated on an earlier formed layer of small, translucent white Calcite crystals that gives the piece added pizzazz. Some light, orange-brown Goethite show through locally around the perimeter and on the small ridges on the front for added contrast. Just a nice, big, sparkly specimen, with unusual style.
