The danburite mine at Dal'negorsk has produced more transparent crystals than this one, certainly (this one appears to have a covering of microcrystalline quartz on it), but what makes this specimen unique is its large size and sharpness. Its overall form is magnificent; and, it is complete all around. This is older material, as the danburite mine at Dal'negorsk has been closed for some time.
