A translucent, milky crystal of quartz, has been coated and infused by finely dispersed hematite. A second generation of glassy, reddish-brown, doubly-terminated crystals, to 1.75 cm in length, has formed on the original crystal in parallel growth. Pristine save for the tiniest of little dings atop, hard to spot really. The overall form and color are superb! A beautiful, really unusual crystal of quartz for any locality. It is complete all around, front and back, though a bit rough in texture on the rear.
