Most of these Chinese orpiments have a lot of damage (bruising), and they can be dull. But here, you have gemmy crystals of the most incredible candy luster. And, the crystals are elongated, slender and elegant in form (to 1.5 cm). The intergrowth of scalenohedral calcites with the orpiments adds a lot to the attractiveness of this superb orpiment specimen.
