A striking, twinned calcite crystal from a very recent and small find at the famous Daye Mine of China. This pristine, water-clear, hexagonal, poker chip calcite crystal is SO sharp it looks like a cut gemstone! The beautiful, two-sided calcite sits very nicely on a crust of smaller calcite crystals. The super-sharp faces and internal refractions reflect the tan crust within the poker chip crystal. A neat phenomenon. China is producing a stunning variety of fine calcite crystals, of which this is a very fine representation.
