Calcite specimens from this obscure Eastern Oklahoma locality are rare. This twin is gemmy, with a rich amber color and silky luster. The twinning plane is not well-defined, but it it visible (more so in person), and the twinning makes this exceptional for the locality. The actual Calcite is 2.3 cm, and it sits perfectly on matrix. It could not have been put here any more aesthetically. Outstanding for the location.
