A SUPERB and AESTHETIC cluster of lustrous, blocky, stark-white (presumably lead-rich) calcite rhombs on a bit of matrix from the world famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. This is simply an outstanding, damage-free group of this rare Tsumeb calcite varietal. The large milky white rhombs are wonderfully enhanced by the transparent, gemmy, outer layer of calcite. The rhombs reach 3.2 cm on the long axis. Many displayable views with this gorgeous piece. CHOICE material from the Rob Smith Collection, a noted Tsumeb specialist. Really different than your usual "white" calcite in luster and ghostly color.
